John Lisle comes from the Land Down Under, but considers California his home!  Prior to taking up residence in Sacramento, he, along with his wife Eva, completed a 20 year tour of the world courtesy of the Australian Army.  He has seen much of the world, some of which he would rather not have seen!  He has entered several countries illegally, two of which no longer exist, served with about 20 countries armed forces, played rugby union at a first class level, walked across New Guinea, jumped from perfectly serviceable aircraft, commanded an armoured cavalry squadron overseas, and danced in all male revue!   The most important lesson he learned during that time is that people, regardless of creed, color and culture, respond to similar incentives, mainly the pursuit of happiness.

John knows the value of education, and attributes his success in part to his formal training, but he has also personally witnessed the power of a positive attitude.  He has survived six close encounters with death, including a terrorist bombing in London, and a near fatal road accident in Pakistan!     

John and Eva own a web site design and service company, called Outback Solutions.  The company is a “poster child” for BNI.  It has been built exclusively by referrals.  In five years it has generated a level of income that not only sends his first born to a private university, but funds his daily Starbucks habit!

The first BNI meeting John attended had 3 participants.  Five years later BNI in California’s San Francisco has nearly 1,000 members from Lake Tahoe to Merced.
